I started with Carr Gomm in April 2005, and I’m currently Deputy Chief Executive with responsibility for developing innovative ways to support people to achieve positive outcomes, and for policies and systems relating to Carr Gomm workers.

I enjoy influencing national and local government policies and actions across Scotland in order to have a positive influence on citizens: every day brings the opportunity to change someone’s life for the better.

I have experience of ensuring governmental policy becomes a practical reality for people accessing social care services, including through digital innovations such as ClickGo (www.clickgo2.com) and YooToo (www.yootoo.io).

Before starting with Carr Gomm and trying to revolutionise social care in Scotland, I worked in Malawi and Ghana.

I am a Computer Science graduate with postgraduate degrees in International Development (MPhil) and Global Mental Health (MSc). My most recent international impact was to develop a practical manual for Acceptance and Commitment Therapy for use by non-specialist practitioners in Sierra Leone.

Away from work, I enjoy recreational quantum electrodynamics, mathematics and the tribulations of Scottish football.
