LGBT+ Network
Our LGBT Network was formed in 2022 and aims to overcome some of the unique challenges that queer people face when accessing or providing support.
Respect is one of Carr Gomm’s core values, and our LGBT Network ensures we respect everyone for their true authentic self.
The Network is open to all Carr Gomm staff and the people we support. It is a safe space created by LGBT people for LGBT people. Allies are also welcome!
We run events that bring staff and the people we support together. For example, we have had craft afternoons making Pride Banners and inclusive Valentine’s Cards. In 2022, we attended Scottish Pride for the first time and continued to attend Pride Events across Scotland in 2023.
We hope to host more events soon and are currently working towards achieving The LGBT Charter Programme run by LGBT Youth Scotland.
